Righteousness

Righteousness

Isaiah 42:6-7
I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand.
I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, 7 to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.

At Wrighteous Wear we not only want to be the top Christian apparel brand but we also want to help you gain a deeper understanding of scripture.  We make designs and products to not only reach those outside of the Body, but to inspire those in the Body to strive for righteousness. We know that living a life as directed by the Bible can be difficult and 2 Tim. 3:1-9 tells us that as time goes on things will get worse.  Those that are self-loving, money-loving, proud, arrogant, who have the outer form of religion but deny its power, etc. will increase.  Because we know this, we must strive even harder to obey what the scriptures have told us to do.  No more compromising to appease the world, our family, friends, spouses and children.  We must be willing to let go of traditions that are not rooted in the Word just because everyone else is doing it.  We have to remember that if Adonai said it that the Messiah said it as well since they are One.  Yeshua (Jesus) was there from the beginning.  He is the Word and gave us many commands that were never abolished in favor of our feelings or what the world thinks is acceptable.

So what are some things you can do to be righteous and be sanctified for Him?  One of the first steps is realizing that you don't have all the answers.  We all were born into sin and have to constantly fight against that sinful mindset.  Thankfully if we have accepted Yeshua (Jesus) as our Savior and Lord the Holy Spirit will also be there to guide us.  It will direct you to filter everything through scripture rather than relying on your own understanding.  It will also convict you when you start to go off God's path.  God will also send other Believers into your life as accountability and study partners to work together to obey his commands.

Adherence to his commands is another step to help in your journey.  In Matt. 5:17-20, Christ clearly says that He did not come to abolish the law (Torah) but to fulfill it.  We must do all we can to be obedient to those commands that are  laid out in scripture. Regardless of whether your church, family or others are being obedient, you can set the example.  2 Tim. 2:15 exhorts us to study so that we can rightly understand the truth of the Word.

As part of this study, we will realize that His commands help us to see our sin and how we fall short.  It will help us see where we are doing His will over our own.  We will clearly see how we are either moving closer to making our mind more like Him or more like the world.  Matt. 7:13-14 tells us that wide is the gate that leads to destruction and narrow is the gate that leads to life.  Remember this if you consider compromising and allowing things contrary to scripture to be a part of your life.  Prov. 15:9 states, "Adonai detests the sacrifices of the wicked but delights in the prayers of the upright". 1 John 3:10 says, "In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother."  These and other scriptures reflect how righteousness leads to life while unrighteousness leads to death.

We were given the ability to decide for ourselves whether we will serve God or serve the Adversary.  Unfortunately many will choose not to follow His commands and many who claim to be Believers will have never truly accepted Him into their lives.  Many will hear those fateful words "I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness".  As such we should be doing all we can to live a righteous and holy life in obedience to our heavenly Father.  This is what can lead others to change.  We have to be different from the world.  We have to show the true love of God.  It will not be easy to go against tradition, but be of good cheer because as long as you are being obedient to the instructions He's given, you will be on the right path.  Let's work together on this journey of righteousness for His sake.
